MÜSİAD, which has left behind its 30th year and is an important witness to Türkiye’s recent history, has launched the “MÜSİAD Saygı Library” project in order to pass on to future generations the life stories of the esteemed business people, academics and thinkers raised by Anatolia who have shaped our country’s intellectual and economic course.

The first series, consisting of 5 books, of the MÜSİAD Saygı Library project, launched to bring the life stories, experiences and memories of the esteemed people raised by the Anatolian lands to the widest possible audience, has met its readers.

The first series of the MÜSİAD Saygı Library, launched to immortalize the life stories of the business people, academics and thinkers who have shaped our country’s intellectual and economic course, features the impressive life journeys of SABAHATTİN ZAİM, NEVZAT YALÇINTAŞ, ADNAN BÜYÜKDENİZ, ABDULLAH TİVNİKLİ and SABRİ ÜLKER.

The life stories of the esteemed names of business, academic and commercial life, who devoted their lives to the pursuit of knowledge and wisdom in the light of the values of the civilization from which they were born and with the understanding that “one who runs with love does not tire”, were compiled under the editorship of Dr. Şefik Memiş and as a result of the meticulous work of various authors.

The Names in the Saygı Library Believed That Gain Would Be Not Only in This World but Also in the Hereafter

Abdurrahman Kaan, President of the Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association (MÜSİAD), stating that the transfer of knowledge, accumulated wisdom and experience is one of the greatest components forming a civilization, said:

“MÜSİAD, which is the outward expression of a great principle, of a civilizational vision and of an understanding of life that places the human being at its centre, does not therefore consist of individuals; yet it bears the colour of individuals. In every brick of this respected business association of ours there is the contribution of an intellectual, of an entrepreneur. They both existed at times when no one was in the field and no one came forward, and they opened the way for others by creating a course, a path. We have launched an important undertaking in order to bring their contribution to light, to carry the vein that nourishes MÜSİAD into new eras and to ensure that this understanding grows manifold. Our Saygı Library series, prepared in order to connect a magnificent past to a glorious future, will fill an important gap. Because those included in this series acted in accordance with their beliefs both when earning and when spending; they are names who believed that gain would be not only in this world but also in the hereafter.”

The work, prepared by the MÜSİAD Media and Cultural Economies Committee, will continue with its other series planned to be realized in the coming period.
