The "Inspiring Women in the Mediterranean" program organized by the MÜSİAD Women Entrepreneurs Support Commission brought together representatives of the public sector, the business world and the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Antalya.

At the program held under the hosting of the MÜSİAD Antalya Branch, the role of women's entrepreneurship in economic development, the leadership women assume in the changing business world and production-focused success stories were addressed. In addition to Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, the program was attended by MÜSİAD President Burhan Özdemir, Governor of Antalya Hulusi Şahin and representatives of public institutions, business world leaders, women entrepreneurs and numerous guests.

Speaking at the opening of the program, Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş drew attention to the fact that the global economy is going through an important process of transformation along the axis of digitalization, artificial intelligence, big data and sustainable development.

Emphasizing that women's position in economic and social life is not limited to individual achievements alone, Minister Göktaş stated that women create a broad sphere of influence from production to entrepreneurship and from the family to social development, expressing that the empowerment of women strengthens, beyond economic growth, the family structure, household welfare, local development and social solidarity as well.

Within the scope of the Inspiring Women in the Mediterranean: 4T Program, the projects that women entrepreneurs have brought to life in various sectors, above all Agriculture, Tourism, Trade and Technology, were shared with the participants. As women entrepreneurs successful in their fields conveyed their experiences, they made assessments on the difficulties they encountered on their entrepreneurial journeys, their solution methods and their sustainable growth strategies. Thus the program went beyond being a gathering at which only success stories are told and gained the quality of an important platform enabling the sharing of knowledge and experience.

Speaking at the event, MÜSİAD President Burhan Özdemir, for his part, drew attention to the contributions that women entrepreneurs and businesspeople within MÜSİAD make to the production ecosystem. Stating that work aimed at strengthening women's presence in business life is continuing, Özdemir expressed that, within the scope of the "Family-Friendly Workplace Project Cooperation Protocol" carried out with the Ministry of Family and Social Services, support for newly married employees and for families having children is continuing, and that work is also under way on nursery and day care centre projects for the children of women entrepreneurs and employees.

Women Entrepreneurs Support Commission Chairwoman Ayşe Akgül Can, for her part, said in her speech, "The real strength of a country lies in its ability to transform the potential it possesses into economic and social value", emphasizing that the most important actors of this transformation are entrepreneurs who support production and development with their innovative perspectives.

The "Inspiring Women in the Mediterranean 4T" program stood out as one of the important organizations of the MÜSİAD Women Entrepreneurs Support Commission's work aimed at encouraging women's entrepreneurship, making success stories visible and bringing together women from different sectors on a common platform. At the event, which brought the public sector and the business world together on the same ground, the contributions that women's stronger presence in the fields of production, entrepreneurship and leadership would make to Türkiye's sustainable development targets were assessed comprehensively.
