The 110th General Administrative Board (GİK) meeting of the Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association (MÜSİAD) was held with broad participation on 3-4 October 2025, hosted by the Kayseri Branch. Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya also attended the meeting, which brought together representatives of the business world, public administrators and non-governmental organizations, and delivered important messages on the economy, security and social unity.

The meeting, organized with the support of the Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality, was attended by Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya, MÜSİAD President Burhan Özdemir, Governor of Kayseri Gökmen Çiçek, Mayor of Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç, AK Party Kayseri deputies, MÜSİAD Head Office executives, branch presidents and numerous members.

Within the scope of the meeting, the MÜSİAD delegation visited the Kayseri Governorate and the Metropolitan Municipality and held consultations on the city's economic potential and the current agenda of the business world. In addition, various thematic sessions and evaluation meetings were held within the framework of the meeting between MÜSİAD Branch Presidents, Head Office Commissions and sectoral boards.

A New-Term Vision with the Theme “High Morality, High Technology”

Held this year with the theme “High Morality, High Technology”, the General Administrative Board once again emphasized the fundamental principles MÜSİAD has adopted both in the business world and in the field of social values.

In his opening speech, MÜSİAD President Burhan Özdemir stated that Türkiye is experiencing a strong rise in the fields of industry, exports and investment, and used the following words:

“Our way of doing business is not focused solely on profit; it is centred on morality, production and social benefit. As MÜSİAD, we are working to embed this moral perspective in every area of the business world along with the technological transformation.”

Touching upon the projects MÜSİAD carries out in areas such as domestic production, digitalization, the entrepreneurship ecosystem, export-oriented growth and youth employment, Özdemir emphasized that the branches assume a critical role in this transformation process.

 

Emphasis on Unity, Trust and Production from Minister of Interior Yerlikaya

The guest of honour of the meeting, Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya, stated in his speech that since the day it was founded MÜSİAD has been one of the most important civil formations giving direction to Türkiye's economic and social development journey.

Stating that Türkiye's security, production and technology policies are addressed as a whole, Yerlikaya emphasized with the words “When the gunpowder falls silent, seed is sown in the soil and hope in the heart.” that a secure environment is the precondition for economic development.

Minister Yerlikaya used the following words in his speech:

“MÜSİAD is a representative not only in the business world but also of the understanding of social solidarity, morality and justice. Our entrepreneurs operating in every corner of our country acting with this awareness will play a great role in Türkiye reaching its 2053 and 2071 targets.”

Minister Yerlikaya also stated that technology-based new methods are being used in the security, public order and cybercrime combat activities carried out across Türkiye, and that there is a strong link between the protection of public order and economic stability.

 

In the consultation sessions held on the second day of the programme, views were exchanged on Türkiye's economic outlook, the expectations of the real sector and MÜSİAD's new-term strategic plan.

The role of the branches in regional development, sustainability-oriented production models, green transformation, women's entrepreneurship and digitalization came to the fore in the sessions. In this process, the MÜSİAD management also presented the “Corporate Legislation Guide and Policy” to the branches in order to strengthen the institutional reflexes of all branches.

A Strong Message from Kayseri to Türkiye

 

While strengthening communication between the business world, the public sector and local administrations, the General Administrative Board also underlined MÜSİAD's vision of “value-based development”.

At the end of the meeting, MÜSİAD President Burhan Özdemir thanked MÜSİAD Kayseri Branch President Ferhat Akmermer and all participants for their hosting, and used the words: “From Kayseri we send a message of collective wisdom and unity to all of Türkiye.”

The programme ended with a gala dinner and the presentation of plaques.
