The 111th General Administrative Board Meeting of the Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association (MÜSİAD) was completed in Kocaeli following an intensive and comprehensive three-day program. The meeting, held with the participation of branch presidents and board members from different provinces of Türkiye, was the scene of assessments concerning the economy, geopolitical developments and the business world.
On the first day of the program hosted by the MÜSİAD Kocaeli Branch, MÜSİAD President Burhan Özdemir and the accompanying delegation visited Kocaeli Governor İlhami Aktaş, Kocaeli Metropolitan Mayor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tahir Büyükakın and Kocaeli Chamber of Commerce President Necmi Bulut. In the contacts held, regional economic developments, the investment climate and the expectations of the business world were addressed.
Following the visits, an Extended Administrative Board Meeting was held under the chairmanship of President Burhan Özdemir. At the meeting, the activities carried out by MÜSİAD were assessed, while the current developments affecting the business world at global and national scale were addressed comprehensively.
Within the scope of the program, a Trade Boards Commission Meeting was also held. At the meeting, where assessments were made regarding sectoral topics, trade policies and business development areas, steps towards strengthening cooperation among members were discussed.
At the end of the day, a Gala Dinner with broad participation was held at the Kocaeli Congress Centre. At the program, which attracted intense interest, plaques were presented to the sponsors for their support, while badges were presented to the new members joining the MÜSİAD family.
On the second day of the program, simultaneous sessions were held. Within the scope of the Presidents Meeting, the Domestic and International Organization Heads Meetings and the Sector Boards Presidents Meeting, the organizational structure, activity plans and sectoral developments were addressed in detail.
In the conference session held in the afternoon, Türkiye's current geopolitical, military and economic outlook was assessed. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Serhan Afacan delivered his presentation on “Türkiye's Geopolitical Situation” and Brigadier General Dr. Yücel Karauz on “Türkiye's Military Situation”, while Prof. Dr. Nurullah Gür shared his assessments on “Türkiye's Economic Situation”.
Within the scope of the meetings, the participants exchanged views on current developments and shared their assessments regarding the priority agenda of the business world.
MÜSİAD's 111th General Administrative Board Meeting was successfully completed in Kocaeli with high participation, a strong basis for consultation and multidimensional program content.
