The 27th Ordinary General Assembly of MÜSİAD was held in İstanbul with the broad participation of the business world. As a result of the General Assembly, there were also changes in the MÜSİAD Board of Directors and the Secretariat General. Sharing his assessments at the event, MÜSİAD President Mahmut Asmalı said, "As one and together, uniting as a nation, we believe that we will make a strong, determined and magnificent start to the Century of Türkiye".

The 27th Ordinary General Assembly of the Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association (MÜSİAD) brought together MÜSİAD members, the business world and the world of politics from Türkiye and from all four corners of the world. As a result of the General Assembly, while the new board of directors was determined under the leadership of MÜSİAD President Mahmut Asmalı, a change of guard also took place in the MÜSİAD Secretariat General. Sharing his assessments at MÜSİAD's 27th Ordinary General Assembly, President Asmalı touched on the projects MÜSİAD has brought to life over the two-year period and pointed out the importance of domestic and national breakthroughs. In his speech President Asmalı said, "As one and together, uniting as a nation, we believe that we will make a strong, determined and magnificent start to the Century of Türkiye".

MÜSİAD President Mahmut Asmalı stated that MÜSİAD has touched social and economic life through the events organized and the projects brought to life during the 2021-2023 term. Stating that they will continue to work for a producing and strong Türkiye through national and international efforts, President Asmalı assessed the steps taken to heal the wounds in the disaster region after the disaster of the century. In his statement on the matter, President Asmalı said, "Praise be to God, we are healing our wounds by working as one and together with our state and our nation. God willing, our work for the earthquake region will continue with determination until results are achieved. We will emerge from this great disaster having grown even bigger, having recovered and having become stronger".

Pointing out that Türkiye has come to the fore with the policies it has implemented in the pandemic period above all and in the National Technology Initiative and many other fields, President Asmalı said that projects such as TOGG, TCG Anadolu, İMECE, Kızılelma, Hürjet, Atak 2, MMU and Altay are a great source of pride. President Asmalı said, "Praise be to God, in the Century of Türkiye, which we have entered crowned with mega projects, there is now a Türkiye that manufactures its own warship, its own warplane and its own tank, that generates electricity from wind and sun, and that produces its own electric car, its own satellite and its own nuclear energy". Saying that they will act with the awareness that Türkiye's new century depends on protecting "our independence and our future", "our roots and our skies"; "our origin and our lineage", the MÜSİAD President made the assessment, "We believe that the codes of the new century will be written by Türkiye's enterprising and courageous young people".

President Asmalı also emphasized that Türkiye is on the threshold of a new period of surging forward, saying, "In the hundredth year of our Republic, it is time to launch a new period of surging forward as one and together, uniting, and to continue making our dreams come true in the Century of Türkiye. We have not the slightest hesitation on this point. As one and together, uniting as a nation, we believe that we will make a strong, determined and magnificent start to the Century of Türkiye. As the MÜSİAD family, for 33 years we have always stood with this belief on the side of right, of truth, of stability and of the national will; we are at the same point today as well, our stance is clear".

A change of guard in MÜSİAD's management

Within the framework of MÜSİAD's 27th Ordinary General Assembly, Soner Meşe, Gökhan Yetkin, Mehmet Develioğlu, Tevfik Dönmez, Mustafa Çalışkan, Hıfsi Soydemir, Halit Kerim, Osman Özdemir, Faruk İbrahim Özbek, Mehmet Şahin, Ali Gökhan Er, Halil Köklü, Mazlum Engin Akdağ, Dr. Faruk Sarı, Yunus Furkan Akbal, Ahmet Yüksel, Yasin Emre Ertemel, Bekir Sami Nalbantoğlu, Süleyman Tarakçı and Abdülkadir Sıcakyüz handed over their duties.
Within the scope of the General Assembly, Mehmet Develioğlu and Bekir Sami Nalbantoğlu, who handed over their duties, were elected to membership of the MÜSİAD Disciplinary Board, while MÜSİAD Secretary General Dr. Cihad Terzioğlu was elected to the post of Chairman of the MÜSİAD Domestic Organization, Member Admission and Member Relations Commission.

Change in the MÜSİAD Secretariat General

After MÜSİAD's 27th Ordinary General Assembly, MÜSİAD Deputy Secretary General Mehmet Akif Altan was appointed in place of Dr. Cihad Terzioğlu, who was elected to the post of Chairman of the MÜSİAD Domestic Organization, Member Admission and Member Relations Commission.

While MÜSİAD Private Secretary Olcay Karahan was appointed Deputy Secretary General of MÜSİAD, Selçuk Şenel was brought to the post of MÜSİAD Private Secretary.
