The 87th branch of the Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association (MÜSİAD) was opened in Kars. In addition to President Abdurrahman Kaan and former Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications Ahmet Arslan, many prominent names from politics and the business world took part in the opening. Şahin Aydın will serve as the President of the Kars Branch.
The 87th branch of the Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association (MÜSİAD) was opened in Kars. Former Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications Ahmet Arslan, Governor of Kars Türker Öksüz, MÜSİAD President Abdurrahman Kaan, Mayor of Kars Ayhan Bilgen, Consul General of Azerbaijan in Kars Nuru Guluyev, Rector of Kafkas University Prof. Dr. Hüsnü Kapu, President of the Kars Chamber of Commerce and Industry Ertuğrul Alibeyoğlu, together with MÜSİAD presidents and many member businessmen, attended the opening.
Speaking at the opening, MÜSİAD Kars Branch President Şahin Aydın said, “I would like to share with you the joy of being a member of a very important civil society organization and the pleasure of representing this civil society organization in Kars.”
“I Am Very Pleased to Be in Kars, an Ancient City of Our Anatolia”
Speaking at the opening of the branch, MÜSİAD President Abdurrahman Kaan said, “I would like to express the pleasure I feel at being in Kars, an ancient city of our Anatolia. We know well that touching the local level, being together with our people there and sharing their lives adds a great deal to us.” Kaan explained that MÜSİAD provides services at 87 locations in Türkiye and at 225 locations in 95 countries across the world.
Emphasizing in his speech that Kars must be turned into a brand city, Kaan said, “Together with our business world, we are striving to bring Türkiye into the world’s top 10 economies. Because we are a strong country, these lands are our homeland, and so MÜSİAD must come to Kars as well. It must turn Kars into a brand too. Together with our branch president and his team, and with the contributions of you, our esteemed friends, God willing we want to turn our Kars into a brand and to grow it. That is why we are here.”
“A Respected Civil Society Organization Is Opening a Branch in Our Province”
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Governor of Kars Türker Öksüz said, “The fact that a respected institution, a respected civil society organization, is opening a branch in our province has given us hope and made us proud; I thank them very much for this. Since its establishment MÜSİAD has been an important institution contributing to our country’s production, industry and employment and making great efforts on this path; and especially at a time when the games truly being played against our country are being felt and our country is being squeezed in every field, we regard MÜSİAD’s opening a branch in our province as a very important show of resolve and a very important step.”
“Let Us Work Together”
Speaking last, 65th Term Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications and Kars Deputy Ahmet Arslan said the following: “God willing, our MÜSAİD President, together with his board, together with the presidents of many provinces and with the Kars President, God willing are undertaking a very important mission in order to turn Kars into a Brand City in this sense as well and to carry this brand to the World and promote it, and from today onwards, God willing, we will bear witness to this together with the further steps that will be taken and the assessments that will be made shortly. Therefore let the people of Kars know that our MÜSİAD President has undertaken an important mission for Kars to become a brand in another sense too, in the commercial sense and in the economic sense, and to be carried to the World; their coming here is an expression of this and that is why it is valuable.”
