MÜSİAD's Qatar Push: The Investment Wind Will Continue

The MÜSİAD delegation headed by MÜSİAD President Abdurrahman Kaan held contacts on the commercial relations between the two countries during its visit to Doha. President Kaan stated that relations would continue to strengthen and emphasized that the investment wind directed towards Türkiye would continue.

Within the scope of the Qatar Business Trip carried out under the chairmanship of Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association (MÜSİAD) President Abdurrahman Kaan and with the participation of MÜSİAD Local High Board Chairman Ahmet Şekerli and MÜSİAD Production and Trade Planning High Board member Oktay Dede, contacts were held regarding the development of the commercial relations between the two countries and investment areas.

The MÜSİAD delegation first came together with Türkiye's Ambassador to Doha Mehmet Mustafa Göksu. While projects in the field of production and trade were discussed at the meeting, the investment areas of Qatari business people in different sectors were evaluated.

President Kaan, who also came together with Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Khalifa bin Jassim Al Thani and his delegation, shared his assessments regarding the visits carried out.

"THE INVESTMENT WIND DIRECTED TOWARDS TÜRKİYE WILL CONTINUE"

MÜSİAD President Kaan recalled that they operate in 95 countries abroad and touched upon the importance of commercial diplomacy. In his statement Kaan said that trade with the countries of the MENA region would continue to strengthen and emphasized that the investment wind from the Gulf region towards Türkiye would continue. 

Kaan used the following expressions in his statement:

"While we continue our commercial diplomacy activities with our domestic and international branches, we analyse the expectations of our industrialists and business people with field data and thus contribute to the correct identification of production and investment areas. With the visits we have made today, we believe that we will further strengthen the reflections on the ground of Türkiye-Qatar relations, which have gained great momentum especially in the last 10 years. Both Qatari business people and Turkish companies operating in the region are quite pleased with the market between the two countries. God willing, in the coming period we will also exceed the USD 5 billion target that we stated earlier."

President Kaan, who also touched upon the projects implemented by MÜSİAD concerning different sectors, stated that Türkiye is an attractive market for business people in the region.

Pointing to the projects across the country that have gained pace recently, Kaan also emphasized that Anatolia, which is seen as an intercontinental logistics centre, will become one of the most important centres of trade in the future.
