Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association (MÜSİAD) President Mahmut Asmalı used the following words: “As MÜSİAD, we believe that in the 4 years that will pass without elections our main focus is the economy, low inflation and sustainable growth.”
In his written statement evaluating the 31 March 2024 Local Administrations General Election, MÜSİAD President Mahmut Asmalı emphasized that the 4 years ahead of Türkiye that will pass without elections should be economy-focused.
In his statement, Asmalı expressed that, in order for Türkiye's economic policies to be more sustainable and secure, the rapid implementation of the priority structural reforms set out in the OVP is of great importance.
Asmalı, who also expressed the wish that the election results be auspicious and that this period be spent in unity and togetherness, made the following statement:
“As a country we have left another election behind. We wish that the local administration elections held yesterday be auspicious for our country and our citizens, and we congratulate each of the winning candidates. As MÜSİAD, we believe that in the 4 years that will pass without elections our main focus is the economy, low inflation and sustainable growth. Alongside the monetary policy that targets a permanent decline in inflation, in this period the rapid implementation of the priority structural reforms set out in the Medium-Term Plan is of great importance for the development and advancement of our country. As MÜSİAD businessmen, we reiterate our belief that in the period ahead the production-, export- and employment-oriented growth process of our national economy will continue; and we believe that, being One and Together, we will spend the coming period in the most productive way.”
