President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who was in Astana within the framework of the Kazakhstan Business Programme, came together with MÜSİAD Kazakhstan Representative Office President Yılmaz Kesen. At the meeting, MÜSİAD Kazakhstan President Kesen shared information with President Erdoğan about the work of MÜSİAD Kazakhstan.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended the 4th Meeting of the Türkiye-Kazakhstan High Level Strategic Cooperation Council and the 6th Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), held in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan.

In addition to the Council meeting in question, and despite the intensive programme of the CICA summit, at which Asia's regional issues were on the agenda and which was held with the participation of the leaders of many countries, President Erdoğan also came together with the MÜSİAD delegation operating in the country and received information about the association's activities.

Speaking about the programme, MÜSİAD Kazakhstan President Yılmaz Kesen emphasized that MÜSİAD Kazakhstan would continue its work aimed at further increasing and strengthening the fraternal and commercial relations between the two brotherly countries.

In his statement, President Kesen conveyed the following:

"As MÜSİAD Kazakhstan, since 2018, when we completed our official establishment, we have been continuing our work to realize the statements of our President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on raising the trade volume between the two brotherly countries to USD 10 billion. In this vein, we signed a memorandum of understanding at official level with the Almaty Presidency of Kazakhstan's Atameken Chamber of Commerce. We have effective cooperation with the Almaty Representative Office Presidency of the Kazakh Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Institutionally, our joint projects with the Almaty Province Governorate also continue. At the same time, the support provided both by the MÜSİAD Head Office and by the Consulate General of the Republic of Türkiye in Almaty motivates us. In this context, with the support of our Consul General and our Head Office, we recently held the 'Türkiye-Kazakhstan Business Forum' in Almaty. On 2-5 November we will also ensure the participation of a delegation of business people from Kazakhstan in MÜSİAD EXPO. MÜSİAD Kazakhstan will continue its work aimed at further increasing and strengthening the fraternal and commercial relations between the two brotherly countries. In this vein, we informed our esteemed President about the activities of our association.
