The 5th Region Introduction and Consultation Meeting was held in Diyarbakır jointly by the MÜSİAD Logistics Sector Board and the Tourism Sector Board. An informal exchange was held with members of the Logistics Sector and the Tourism Sector. The state of trade in the region was assessed.
The programme began with the opening and greeting speeches. The opening speech was delivered by MÜSİAD Diyarbakır Branch President Hamdullah Akyıldız.
Logistics Sector Board Chairman Mehmet Metin Korkmaz then shared information about the sector's activities and, speaking about the programme “From the Ancient Silk Road to the Future: Tourism and Logistics Summit” held in Mardin, assessed the opportunities in the field of logistics.
Afterwards, Tourism Sector Board Chairman Mecit Kılınçarslan introduced the management of the Tourism Sector Board and the activities carried out. He emphasized that tourism is an important investment opportunity for business people seeking to revitalize their cities and turn them into brands. He stated that investment in tourism increases the recognition and brand value of a city.
In the continuation of the programme, the participating members introduced themselves. Subsequently, Dr. Yusuf Karakaş, Deputy Director General of the Directorate General of International Services Trade of the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Türkiye, delivered his presentation.
The meeting continued with a question-and-answer session and came to an end with the presentation of gifts and a group photograph.
