In October 2022, the seasonally and calendar adjusted SAMEKS Composite Index rose by 0.7 points compared to the previous month to a value of 53.6.

In this period, the Services Sector SAMEKS Index recorded a 0.9-point increase compared to the previous month, rising to 51.9 points and maintaining its positive outlook. The rising graph of the Industry Sector SAMEKS Index, which recorded a 0.8-point increase compared to the previous month to reach a level of 57.8, continued in this period as well.

While the continued strong course of input purchases was effective in the increase observed in the services sector, in the industry sector the buoyant outlook of new orders and input purchases supported the rise in production.

As a result of these developments, the seasonally and calendar adjusted SAMEKS Composite Index, which recorded a 0.7-point increase compared to the previous month and rose to a level of 53.6, made a positive start to the fourth quarter of the year and indicated that the buoyancy in economic activity continued in October as well.
