In November 2023, the seasonally and calendar adjusted SAMEKS Composite Index recorded an increase of 0.8 points compared with the previous month and, at 51.6 points, continued its course above the reference value.
In this period, the Industry Sector SAMEKS Index gained 1.4 points of pace compared with the previous month and stood at the level of 52.2, while the Services Sector SAMEKS Index also recorded an increase of 0.8 points compared with the previous month and rose to the level of 51.3.
While a marked recovery was recorded in the industry sector on account of the increase in new orders, production was seen to have moved back into an upward trend after a 4-month interval. In the services sector, on the other hand, despite the strong course of input purchases, the stagnant appearance of business volume continued in this period as well.
As a result of these developments, the SAMEKS Composite Index, which stood at the level of 51.6, indicated that economic activity for November 2023 presented a more vibrant appearance than in the previous month.
