The Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association (MÜSİAD) and the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye (TÜBİTAK) Signed a Cooperation Protocol

 

The Cooperation Framework Protocol Signing Ceremony between the Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association (MÜSİAD) and the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye (TÜBİTAK) took place at the MÜSİAD Industry and Technology Summit (MUST’23) event. In the company of Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır, the protocol was signed by President Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal on behalf of TÜBİTAK and by President Mahmut Asmalı on behalf of MÜSİAD.



The details of the cooperation framework protocol, concluded with the aim of increasing science and technology centred cooperation, are as follows:

  • Within the scope of the programmes and studies carried out by both parties, providing announcement and promotion support, sharing views and suggestions, establishing joint working groups and putting forward improvement proposals in order to increase the effectiveness of the application, evaluation, support and monitoring processes of TÜBİTAK support programmes,

  • Introducing TÜBİTAK support programmes to MÜSİAD members through the R&D Support Unit to be established within MÜSİAD, providing information about updates, and organizing training on project preparation and submission processes;

  • In TÜBİTAK's programmes that are carried out with a focus on cooperation and require joint applications, carrying out in a coordinated manner activities such as matching project partners and forming project consortia from among MÜSİAD members;

  • In order to ensure the coordination of the activities in question, establishing an “R&D Performance Development Commission” consisting of 3 (three) TÜBİTAK representatives and 3 (three) MÜSİAD representatives, and planning and monitoring joint activities by coming together at a frequency determined by the parties, provided that the period between two meetings is not longer than six months.

  • Directing Young MÜSİAD members to TÜBİTAK's entrepreneurship support programmes by organizing joint information and training events,

  • Increasing the commercialization performance of R&D project outputs — carrying out work with the aim of developing solution proposals through mutual exchange of information.
