The Social Security Institution (SGK) has postponed to November and December the March, April and May SGK premiums of the taxpayers within the scope of force majeure determined by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association (MÜSİAD) shared the following announcement by SGK with its members on this matter:
“Within the scope of the “Announcement on the Postponement of Premium Payment Periods” dated 2 April 2020 issued by the Presidency of the Social Security Institution, and pursuant to the third paragraph of Article 91 of Law No. 5510, by decision No. 2020/188 dated 26/3/2020 taken by the Board of Directors of the Social Security Institution;
-The payment period for the insurance premiums for 2020/April, which must be paid by the end of 2020/May, has been postponed to 30/11/2020,
-The payment period for the insurance premiums for 2020/May, which must be paid by the end of 2020/June, has been postponed to 31/12/2020.
The payment period for insurance premiums has been postponed for the taxpayers indicated below, who are deemed to be in a state of force majeure between 01/04/2020 and 30/06/2020 pursuant to the General Communiqué of the Tax Procedure Law published in the repeating Official Gazette dated 24/03/2020 and numbered 31078.
Directly affected by the Corona virus pandemic and, in terms of their main field of activity;
-Retail, including shopping malls,
-Health services,
-Furniture manufacturing,
-Iron, steel and metal industry,
-Mining and quarrying,
-Building construction services,
-Industrial kitchen manufacturing,
-Automotive manufacturing and trade and the manufacture of parts and accessories for the automotive industry,
-Vehicle rental,
-Logistics and transport, including warehousing activities,
-Artistic services such as cinema and theatre,
-Publishing activities for books, newspapers, magazines and similar printed products, including printing,
-Accommodation activities, including tour operators and travel agencies,
-Food and beverage services, including restaurants and coffee houses,
-Textile and ready-made clothing manufacturing and trade,
-Taxpayers operating in the event and organization services sectors, including public relations,
-Belonging to taxpayers operating in the sectors in which the workplaces are located whose activities were decided to be temporarily suspended within the scope of the measures taken by the Ministry of Interior in terms of their main field of activity,
-Of the private sector employers who employ insured persons at their workplaces within the scope of subparagraph (a) of the first paragraph of Article 4 of Law No. 5510,
The payment period for the insurance premiums of those who are insured within the scope of subparagraph (b) of the first paragraph of Article 4 of Law No. 5510 (Bağ-Kur) has been postponed.
APPLICATION
No postponement has been made to the periods for all kinds of information, documents and declarations that must be submitted to the Institution pursuant to Law No. 5510 and for the applications that must be made; proceedings will be carried out according to the current procedures and periods.
