The 5th Ordinary General Assembly of the Azerbaijan Branch of the Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association (MÜSİAD) was held with broad participation at the Baku Congress Centre. At the handover ceremony organized within the scope of the general assembly, Fuat Kayhan took over the office of President of the MÜSİAD Azerbaijan Branch from the outgoing Reşat Cabirli.
 
The programme began with opening speeches, the playing of the national anthems of the two countries and a recitation of the Holy Quran. Afterwards, a promotional video covering the activities of MÜSİAD Azerbaijan was shared with the participants.
 
In the official protocol speeches section of the general assembly, MÜSİAD Azerbaijan's former Chairman of the Board of Directors Reşat Cabirli, the new-term President Fuat Kayhan and MÜSİAD President Burhan Özdemir addressed the audience in turn. Within the scope of the programme, the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Baku Prof. Dr. Birol Akgün, Azerbaijan's Deputy Minister of Economy Samad Beşirli, Minister of Trade Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat and Vice President of Türkiye Cevdet Yılmaz also addressed the participants.
 
Speaking at the general assembly, MÜSİAD President Burhan Özdemir drew attention to Azerbaijan's strategic position within the Turkic world and stated that the MÜSİAD Azerbaijan Branch is one of the strong and institutional examples on the ground of Turkic world cooperation as well as of the economic relations between the two countries. Touching on the uncertainties experienced on a global scale, Özdemir emphasized the importance of the business world acting with a more resilient and inclusive economic understanding in this process.
 
In his speech, Özdemir announced that next year the Turkic World Investment and Business Forum will be held in Karabakh with the cooperation of KOBİA and MÜSİAD, and stated that they aim to deepen the shared strategic vision with participants from all of the Turkic world countries.

As a result of the talks held with Azerbaijan's KOBİA, agreement was reached on holding the Turkic World Investment and Business Forum during 2026 in Karabakh, which has regained its freedom.

 
The programme ended with the cooperation memorandum signed between MÜSİAD and KOBİA, a family photograph and the presentation of gifts.
