MÜSİAD Albania hosted a gathering in Tirana that was important in terms of strengthening the economic relations between the two countries. The “Albania–Türkiye Investment Forum 2025”, organized in cooperation between MÜSİAD and the Albanian Investment Development Agency (AIDA), brought together the leading representatives of the Turkish and Albanian business worlds.
Vice President of the Republic of Türkiye Cevdet Yılmaz, Albanian Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation Blendi Gonxhe, Türkiye's Ambassador to Tirana Tayyar Kağan Atay, President of MÜSİAD Burhan Özdemir, AIDA officials and numerous investors from the two countries attended the opening of the forum.
“Relations Between the Two Countries Are at the Level of a Strategic Partnership”
In his speech at the forum, Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz emphasized that the relations between Türkiye and Albania rest on a deep-rooted history in historical, cultural and economic terms. Yılmaz said, “The cooperation between Türkiye and Albania does not consist solely of trade volume; it is a partnership based on friendship, shared values and mutual trust.”
Noting that the trade volume between the two countries has exceeded the level of USD 1 billion, Yılmaz stated that this would be carried much higher in the coming period. Emphasizing that Türkiye is among the largest investor countries in Albania, Yılmaz said, “Our private sector contributes directly to Albania's development process. This forum will lay the ground for new projects that will open the way for the business world.”
Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, for his part, drew attention in his video message to the friendship and strategic cooperation between the two countries and said, “Albania and Türkiye are two hands that applaud together the history of friendship and partnership.”

In his assessment at the forum, President of MÜSİAD Burhan Özdemir emphasized that the Balkan geography is not only an area of investment for Türkiye but at the same time an area of historical and cultural responsibility:
“In the Balkans we are not merely establishing collaborations; we are developing lasting friendships built upon our shared past. The heartfelt bond between Albania and Türkiye is growing even stronger through economic cooperation,” he said.
Özdemir stated that they will continue to work in order to increase MÜSİAD's activity in the Balkans, to build new trade bridges and to encourage the private sector's investments in the region.
B2B Meetings and Sectoral Panels Were Held at the Forum
Within the scope of the forum, numerous bilateral (B2B) meetings were held between Turkish and Albanian businesspeople. The meetings addressed new collaborations and joint investment opportunities in areas such as investment, foreign trade, energy, construction, industry, information technologies and agriculture.
In addition, at the panels organized under the headings of tourism, agriculture and food, construction, and information and communication technologies, assessments were made regarding the mutual investment potential between the two countries and the future of the sectors. Participants emphasized that Türkiye's production and technology strength and Albania's strategic position opening onto the European market complement each other.
AIDA officials stated that the forum is not only a platform where investment matters are discussed, but a vivid reflection of the close and stable relations between the two countries.

The Trade Target Between the Two Countries: USD 2 Billion
In the assessments made at the end of the forum, the target of raising the annual trade volume between Türkiye and Albania to the level of USD 2 billion in the medium term was reiterated. Participants emphasized that the forum has created a strong basis for the establishment of lasting economic relations between the two countries.
The Albania–Türkiye Investment Forum 2025 was assessed as the beginning of a new era in terms of sustainable growth, mutual investments and regional development goals in the Balkans.
