Within the scope of the Aleppo Business Trip program organized by the MÜSİAD Textile, Leather and Ready-Made Clothing Sector Board and carried out under the coordination of the MÜSİAD Syria Branch, contacts were made regarding the investment climate in the region, sector-focused cooperation opportunities and the development of Türkiye–Syria economic relations.
Within the framework of the program, the MÜSİAD Syria Branch was first visited and the branch's activities and field conditions were evaluated; it was reported that the branch had strengthened its institutional capacity and developed its office structure in order to coordinate its work on the Aleppo–Damascus line more effectively. Afterwards, accompanied by the MÜSİAD Syria Branch, the delegation visited the Aleppo Azaz District Governorate and the Azaz Industrial Zone, and information about the region was shared.
The Aleppo Chamber of Commerce, the Aleppo Governorate Investment Office, the Aleppo chamber of industry and the Aleppo Sheikh Najjar Industrial Zone, the region's largest organized industrial zone, were visited and a comprehensive presentation was made on the prominent investment and partnership areas in the region. In the talks, information was given on establishing a joint integration system model specifically between the MÜSİAD Textile Sector and the Aleppo Textile sector and setting up an order in which more concrete and rapid action can be taken, on cooperation options such as the establishment of a 100 percent foreign-capital company, partnership and production areas, on land allocation opportunities, on the existing infrastructure situation for production and on customs and exemption facilities in imports; it was stated that guidance and field visit support would be provided throughout the investment process.
