The Ankara Ambassadors of Bangladesh and Algeria held contacts in Isparta under the coordination of the MÜSİAD Global High Board Diplomatic Relations Committee.
Bangladesh Ambassador Mosud Mannan and Algeria Ambassador Mourad Adjabi, who carried out a series of visits under the chairmanship of MÜSİAD Diplomatic Relations Committee Chairman Zeki Güvercin, received information about Isparta's investment and production fields. Within the scope of the visit, the Ambassadors, who also came together with Isparta Governor Ömer Seymenoğlu, Isparta Mayor Şükrü Başdeğirmen, Isparta University of Applied Sciences (ISUBÜ) Rector Prof. Dr. İbrahim Diler and MÜSİAD Isparta President Yalçın Baysan, later took part in the rose harvest.
Governor Seymenoğlu, who stated that he was pleased with the Isparta visit of the Bangladeshi and Algerian Ambassadors, pointed to the importance of the work of diplomatic missions and of MÜSİAD for the development and promotion of the region. Mayor Başdeğirmen, who made assessments regarding the visit that will play an important role in the promotion of Isparta, exchanged views with the Ambassadors on strengthening cooperation in the field of education. ISUBÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Diler, for his part, referring to the foreign students in the city, stated that foreign students who come to our country through student exchange programmes acquire the quality of being ambassadors of both tourism and culture.
MANNAN: WE ATTACH IMPORTANCE TO MUTUAL COOPERATION
Bangladesh's Ankara Ambassador Mosud Mannan, who expressed his satisfaction at being in Isparta, known as the land of roses, and at the hospitality shown, stated that they want ties between universities in Bangladesh and Süleyman Demirel University (SDÜ) and ISUBÜ to be strengthened and student exchanges to be increased. Mannan stated that they also attach importance to increasing cooperation, brotherhood and togetherness in business between Bangladesh and Isparta.
ADJABI: WE MUST WORK SUCCESSFULLY
Algeria's Ankara Ambassador Mourad Adjabi said that his visit to Isparta was both a historic and a successful visit. Making assessments regarding the visit, Adjabi said, "It is my first visit to beautiful Isparta, but it will definitely not be the last. I am sure that we will work successfully together. Our bilateral relations between Algeria and Türkiye are very good. Since Türkiye and Algeria are both large and important countries, we need to work more sincerely, closely and successfully in the future."
A COMMERCIAL DIPLOMACY DRIVE FROM MÜSİAD
MÜSİAD Diplomatic Relations Committee Chairman Zeki Güvercin, who made statements regarding the Ambassador programme held in Isparta, stated that a highly productive study yielding positive results had been carried out. Emphasizing that bilateral commercial relations and cooperation with Bangladesh and Algeria will expand further in the coming period, Güvercin stated that new programmes will be organized with different country missions. Güvercin also said that after the pandemic MÜSİAD has carried out a strong commercial diplomacy drive through its domestic and international activities and that this work will continue.
On the other hand, within the scope of the visit, the ambassadors, who came together with MÜSİAD members at the MÜSİAD Isparta branch building, held consultations on regional development at the meeting held there. Making assessments regarding the programme, MÜSİAD Isparta President Yalçın Baysan emphasized that work continues for Isparta to become a brand in terms of tourism.
