The MÜSİAD Chemicals, Metal and Mining Sector Board paid an important visit to İstanbul Technical University (İTÜ) Vice Rector and Dean of the Faculty of Mines Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kumral.
During the visit, together with Chemicals, Metal and Mining Sector Board Chairman Muhittin CAN and Vice Chairman and Head of the Mining Sub-Working Group Emrullah YEDİKARDEŞ, support was requested from the academic staff of the İTÜ Faculty of Mines for the identification of the current problems in the mining sector and for solution proposals.
It was stated that joint work would be carried out in the near future in cooperation between MÜSİAD and İTÜ to prepare a report addressing the difficulties in the sector. This visit and cooperation both represent a promising step towards the solution of the problems in the sector and emphasize the contribution of the academic world to the sector. At the end of the visit, after Muhittin CAN presented the Orphan Sponsorship Certificate, an important social solidarity initiative of MÜSİAD, to Mr. Kumral, the visit was concluded.
