The MÜSİAD Export Development Commission, under the chairmanship of MÜSİAD Vice President Abdurrahman Uzun and MÜSİAD Export Development Commission Chairman Ahmet Cihaner, visited the institution Export Development Inc. (İGE A.Ş.) and met with General Manager Kasım Akdeniz.
At the meeting, MÜSİAD Vice President Abdurrahman Uzun first briefly spoke about MÜSİAD’s activities and the work carried out as the Business and Trade Development Commissions.
Afterwards, MÜSİAD Export Development Commission Chairman Ahmet Cihaner gave information about the commission’s activities. The work carried out to develop members’ export capacities, efforts to increase the number of members who do not export, commercial intelligence analysis, organizations directed abroad and work aimed at informing members about incentives and supports were conveyed.
At the meeting, information was given about the Anatolian Export Meetings Program that MÜSİAD will hold in Sakarya on 14 September.
İGE A.Ş. General Manager Kasım Akdeniz stated that the priority goal should be increasing value-added exports.
It was reported that İGE A.Ş. worked with 6 banks in 2022 and that there were a total of 2,000 export loan applications, while in 2023 İGE A.Ş. worked with a total of 16 banks and a total of 30 loan applications were made.
At the meeting, consultations were held regarding the joint cooperation and fields of work of the two institutions.
