MÜSİAD President Abdurrahman Kaan, former State Minister Kürşat Tüzmen, İstanbul Commerce University Rector Prof.Dr. Nazım Ekren, Gebze Mayor Zinnur Büyükgöz, MÜSİAD Consultancy and Education Sector Board Chairman Abdülkadir Sıcakyüz, MÜSİAD National Brands Working Group Chairman Dr. Salim ÇAM, SİNBO Chairman of the Board Mehmet Demir, TUBİTAK TÜSSİDE Institute Director İsmail Doğan, Gebze Chamber of Commerce President Nail Çiler, Gebze Technical University Rector Prof. Dr. M. Hasan Aslan, KOSGEB Kocaeli OIZ Director Hakan Demirci, MÜSİAD Board of Directors members and nearly three hundred business people attended the program.
“More Production, More Exports, More Employment”
Delivering the opening speech of the meeting, President Abdurrahman Kaan stated that they would focus on economic stability and development over the coming four years. Kaan said, “ As the business world, we take on the second leading role after the economic administration throughout all these processes. With the responsibility and awareness this brings, we will work without ever moving away from the understanding of “more production, more exports, more employment”. As Turkish business people we have a trade success that we have woven stitch by stitch and developed with great effort, and this is now a success recognized all over the world. We will carry it further. We are in a period in which the political will guides us by clearing the way for the business world.”
Our Goal Is a Türkiye That Shapes the Future
Noting that investments to be made by discovering the trends that will shape the future would bring great returns in the long term, Kaan said, “We are now after producing products with high added value. We are after becoming a country that produces technology rather than consuming it, that sets out technological developments rather than merely following them. Because we have the goal of a Türkiye that is self-sufficient in every field from energy to industrial production, from agriculture to information technologies, that sells what it produces to the world and that shapes the future by minimizing its external dependency. On the road we set out on by saying “Let Our Cause Be Türkiye”, I would like to state that, as MÜSİAD, we are ready to make every kind of contribution and to give support at this point.
Delivering a brief welcoming speech at the meeting, MÜSİAD Gebze Branch President Serkan Beyaz emphasized domestic production in industry and said that they frequently consult with industrialists in order to add value to the country and to develop new projects. Stating that contributing to the national economy depends on production and on succeeding in keeping up with the age, President Beyaz thanked everyone who attended the TÜİT program.
