İstanbul Regional Director of Customs and Foreign Trade Hayrettin Yıldırım, deputy regional directors and affiliated branch directors took part in the Consultation Meeting with Customs Directors organized by MÜSİAD Logistics Sector Board Chairman Mehmet Metin Korkmaz. At the meeting, which was also attended by MÜSİAD Board of Directors member Ahmet Cihaner and Deputy Chairwoman of the İstanbul Customs Brokers Association Çiğdem Ağdağ, consultations were held on sectoral demands and proposed solutions.
At the consultation meeting held at the MÜSİAD Head Office, after the participants had been introduced, MÜSİAD Logistics Sector Board Chairman Mehmet Metin Korkmaz gave a presentation on the sector board's activities and the customs directors were briefed on the activities of the sector board.
In the continuation of the programme, consultations were held with the customs directors on sectoral demands and proposed solutions. The problems frequently encountered at customs by companies operating in the logistics sector and the demands for solutions to these problems formed the main agenda of the meeting. While solutions to the existing problems in the sector were sought in the consultations, consultations were also held on the future of the sector.
Following the consultations, dinner was served. MÜSİAD Logistics Sector Board Chairman Mehmet Metin Korkmaz presented a gift to İstanbul Regional Director of Customs and Foreign Trade Hayrettin Yıldırım. In addition, the sectoral report titled “The Logistics Sector with a Focus on Sustainability and Future Trends”, prepared by the MÜSİAD Logistics Sector Board, was presented to the customs directors. The programme came to an end after a group photograph was taken on stage.
