The MÜSİAD Defence Industry Sector Board , paid a congratulatory visit to Deputy Minister of National Defence of the Republic of Türkiye Dr. Celal Sami Tüfekci on the occasion of his new post. During the visit, Deputy Minister Tüfekci gave detailed information about the activities carried out by the ministry. In particular, he emphasized the importance of the National Combat Aircraft KAAN, our country’s domestic fighter jet and a project of pride.
Chairman of the MÜSİAD Defence Industry Sector Board Fatih Altunbaş also gave information about the activities he carried out during his term of office. These activities include the AMAC summits held twice, the visits to ASELSAN and ROKETSAN, and supplier days events. In the meeting discussions, Turkish defence industry companies continue to receive significant orders from abroad.
Products that demonstrate the capabilities of the Turkish defence industry and attract the world’s attention are receiving great interest in the international arena. Technological developments in the defence industry are increasing the competitive power of Turkish companies. With the increase in domestic and national production opportunities, Türkiye is growing even stronger in the defence industry and increasing its export potential. With its achievements in the defence industry, Türkiye is not only meeting its own needs but is also establishing strategic partnerships by providing technology transfer to many countries. This, in turn, strengthens Türkiye’s international position in the defence industry.
Our member and Deputy of the MÜSİAD Head Office Defence Industry Sector Board, Hakan Kayacı, gave information about the Unmanned Surface Vessel work carried out as Kayacı Defence. Regarding his project that will provide added value to our country, this important work in the field of the Defence Industry is one of the significant undertakings of MÜSİAD members. The other members present at the visit shared matters and requests concerning their own companies. At the end of the visit, Dr. Celal Sami Tüfekci presented a plaque to Fatih Altunbaş. The Orphan Sponsorship Certificate, an important undertaking of MÜSİAD, was presented by Altunbaş to Dr. Celal Sami Tüfekci.
