Within the scope of the Rabat contacts, the MÜSİAD delegation also came together with the officials of the investment office within the Moroccan Ministry of Investment. At the meeting, comprehensive information was shared about the strategic advantages Morocco offers to foreign investors, investment supports, incentive mechanisms and its policies towards priority sectors. It was assessed that the construction and building materials sector holds significant opportunities, particularly within the framework of infrastructure, urbanization, housing and regional development projects. It was emphasized that Turkish companies could attain a more effective position in the Moroccan market with their production capability, project development experience and supply of quality products.
On the Casablanca leg of the programme, the Türkiye–Morocco Construction and Building Materials Sector B2B Business Meetings were organized. The Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Rabat Mr. Mustafa İlker Kılıç, the Commercial Counsellors of the Republic of Türkiye in Rabat and Casablanca, the management and members of the Casablanca Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services, Turkish and Moroccan business people and sector representatives attended the programme, which was held with broad participation.
In the protocol speeches delivered in the opening section, attention was drawn to the strong commercial ties between Türkiye and Morocco, to the complementary potential between the business worlds of the two countries and to the new forms of cooperation that could be developed in the construction and building materials sector. Morocco's strategic position in terms of access to regional markets and the production quality, export experience and project capability of Turkish companies were among the prominent topics of the programme. Within the scope of the B2B meetings, 18 companies from Türkiye came together with approximately 100 Moroccan business people. In the bilateral business meetings held, Turkish companies had the opportunity to introduce their products and services directly to potential customers, while Moroccan business people became closely acquainted with Türkiye's strong production capacity in the field of construction and building materials. In the meetings, the opportunities for distributorship, supply, project partnership, exports, imports and long-term commercial cooperation were assessed. During the programme, the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Rabat Mr. Mustafa İlker Kılıç and the Commercial Counsellors visited the tables of the participating Turkish companies and received information about the companies' fields of activity, export targets and expectations regarding the Moroccan market. These visits constituted an important value for Turkish companies in terms of institutional support and motivation towards the market.
Within the scope of the Casablanca contacts, the MÜSİAD delegation also paid an official visit to the Presidency of the Casablanca Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services. At the meeting, assessments were made on developing the relations between MÜSİAD and the Casablanca Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services, on creating a more effective commercial matching mechanism between the members of the two institutions and on increasing the areas of sectoral cooperation. The parties demonstrated a joint will to strengthen company matching work, to share regional and sectoral demands mutually and to follow up potential cooperation on an institutional footing. The MÜSİAD Construction and Building Materials Sector Board Morocco Business Trip, held between 22–25 June 2026, was an important step towards strengthening the presence of the Turkish business world in the Moroccan market. The diplomatic contacts, the meetings with public institutions, the chamber of commerce visits and the B2B business meetings held throughout the programme once again revealed that Morocco is for Turkish companies not merely a target market but at the same time a strategic trade and investment centre opening onto Africa, Europe and Latin America.
The production quality, flexible supply capability, competitive product diversity and international project experience of the Turkish construction and building materials sector were met with interest by Moroccan business people. The contacts made prepared a strong ground for establishing new commercial partnerships between the two countries, for deepening existing relations and for turning sector-based cooperation into concrete projects.
