The MÜSİAD Construction and Building Materials Sector Board carried out a comprehensive programme in London in order to increase the sector's international cooperation capacity, to examine developments in global markets on the spot and to evaluate new commercial opportunities.
Within the scope of the programme, the delegation came together at the Consulate under the hosting of the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to London, Osman Koray Ertaş. At the meeting, comprehensive consultations were held on the international cooperation of the construction and building materials sector, its foreign trade potential, its processes of opening up to global markets and the commercial opportunities that could be developed on the Türkiye-United Kingdom line.
Following the official contacts, the delegation visited UK Construction Week, which is among the world's leading building and construction organizations. Within the scope of the visit, the new-generation building technologies, innovative production systems, sustainable building solutions and modern application techniques that give direction to the transformation of the sector were examined on the spot.
The MÜSİAD delegation, which also visited the marble fair held in London, received information about the advanced machinery technologies used in the marble and natural stone sector, high value-added production systems and innovative products. During the programme, technical visits were also paid to marble factories, and production processes, processing technologies and export potential were evaluated in the field.
The delegation also carried out technical examinations at two separate construction sites in order to see on the spot the modern building materials and application techniques used in the construction sector. During these visits, observations were made regarding construction practices in the United Kingdom, project management processes and building technologies.
Within the scope of the programme, a consultation and get-together dinner was also held with MÜSİAD members living in London. At the meetings, assessments were made on strengthening solidarity among members, developing a common trade vision and increasing international cooperation.
