The Aleppo Business Trip and Bilateral Business Meetings organized by the MÜSİAD Construction and Building Materials Sector Board attracted great interest.

Within the scope of the Aleppo Business Trip and B2B programme organized by the MÜSİAD Construction and Building Materials Sector Board and carried out under the coordination of the MÜSİAD Syria Branch, contacts were made regarding the investment climate in the region, sector-focused cooperation opportunities and the development of Türkiye–Syria economic relations.

Within the framework of the programme, the MÜSİAD Syria Branch was visited first and the branch's activities and field conditions were assessed; it was reported that the branch had strengthened its institutional capacity and improved its office structure in order to coordinate its work on the Aleppo–Damascus line more effectively. The delegation then visited the Aleppo Governorate Investment Office accompanied by the MÜSİAD Syria Branch and gave a comprehensive presentation on the investment areas that stand out in the region. At the meeting, information was provided on cooperation options such as the establishment of companies with 100 percent foreign capital and the build-operate-transfer model, on land allocation opportunities and on customs and exemption facilities in imports; it was stated that guidance and field visit support would be provided throughout the investment process. Within the scope of the visit programme, the Türkiye–Syria Business Forum and the B2B programme for the construction and building materials sector were also held with broad participation at the Sheraton Hotel. In the speeches, the importance of Türkiye–Syria cooperation in the process of Syria's reconstruction and the support for the investment climate were emphasized; the programme was completed with the bilateral business meetings held between companies. The MÜSİAD Construction and Building Materials Sector Board took part in the B2B meetings with 22 companies within the scope of the forum; in order to increase the efficiency of the meetings, Arabic information booklets belonging to the companies were prepared and a separate meeting table was allocated to each company, so that direct contact was established with the Syrian counterparts.

Within the scope of the programme, the delegation also visited the Consul General of the Republic of Türkiye in Aleppo Mr. Muammer Hakan Cengiz and Commercial Attaché Mr. Sefa Akgül. At the meeting, assessments regarding the current situation in Aleppo and the investment climate were shared; the Consulate General and the Commercial Attaché's Office stated that guidance and the necessary support would be provided to Turkish companies wishing to invest or engage in commercial activity in the region.
