President of MÜSİAD Mahmut Asmalı carried out a series of visits in Riyadh and Jeddah within the scope of the Saudi Arabia Business Program. As part of the program, President Asmalı also came together with the Secretary General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, Hissein Brahim Taha. The meeting addressed the activities of MÜSİAD and the OIC, areas of cooperation and the steps to be taken for the regions affected by the earthquake.
The MÜSİAD delegation, consisting of President of the Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association (MÜSİAD) Mahmut Asmalı, President of the International Business Forum (IBF) Erol Yarar, MÜSİAD Vice President Davut Altunbaş, MÜSİAD Saudi Arabia Representative Sait Ebu Mohamed, IBF Vice President Gazi Mısırlı and MÜSİAD Secretary General Dr. Cihad Terzioğlu, carried out a series of visits in Riyadh and Jeddah within the scope of the Saudi Arabia Business Program.
In the Riyadh leg of the Saudi Arabia Business Program, President of MÜSİAD Mahmut Asmalı and President of the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEİK) Nail Olpak came together with Türkiye's Ambassador to Riyadh Fatih Ulusoy and held consultations on the commercial relations between the two countries and on commercial life in the region.
The MÜSİAD delegation, which attended the consultation meeting organized within the framework of the Saudi Arabia Business Program with the participation of Minister of Trade Dr. Mehmet Muş, Saudi Minister of Commerce Majid Bin Abdullah Al Qasabi and representatives of the Turkish-Saudi business world, subsequently took part in the Saudi Arabia-Türkiye Business Forum held under the co-chairmanship of the trade ministers of the two countries.
In the statement he made on his social media account after the business forum, President of MÜSİAD Mahmut Asmalı said, "We took part in the Saudi Arabia-Türkiye Business Forum held under the co-chairmanship of our Minister of Trade Mr. Mehmet Muş and Saudi Minister of Commerce Mr. Majid Bin Abdullah Al Qasabi. I hope that the program will serve to strengthen the commercial relations between Türkiye and Saudi Arabia and bring benefits to our business world."
Within the framework of the Riyadh program, the MÜSİAD delegation attended the TÜRK EXPO Trade Fair organized with the participation of Turkish and Saudi companies. Chatting with the fair participants, President of MÜSİAD Mahmut Asmalı examined the products of the Turkish and Saudi companies on site.
Following the Saudi Arabia-Türkiye Business Forum, the MÜSİAD delegation headed by President of MÜSİAD Mahmut Asmalı attended the consultation meeting organized under the coordination of the Turkish Contractors Association. After the meeting, the delegation came together with officials of Aldyar Alarbiya and received information on regional investment and trade opportunities.
The MÜSİAD delegation also visited the education campus, a family enterprise of MÜSİAD Saudi Arabia Representative Sait Ebu Mohamed, and received information about the work carried out there.
The Jeddah leg of the Saudi Arabia Business Program, for its part, began with the visit the MÜSİAD delegation paid to Türkiye's Consul General in Jeddah Mete Zaimoğlu.
Coming together with officials of the Islamic Development Bank after the Consulate General visit, the MÜSİAD delegation received information on potential areas of cooperation, international activities and regional investment and trade opportunities from the Islamic Development Bank's Director of Strategy, Policy and Research Osman Büyükmutlu and the Business Development Manager of the Sub-Saharan Africa and Europe Department Oğuz Aktuna.
The MÜSİAD delegation headed by President of MÜSİAD Mahmut Asmalı subsequently came together with the Secretary General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Hissein Brahim Taha and OIC Assistant Secretary General Ambassador Musa Kulaklıkaya. The meeting addressed the activities of MÜSİAD and the OIC, areas of cooperation and the steps to be taken for the regions affected by the earthquake.
