The "Digital Technologies Sector Assembly", organized with the aim of consolidating Türkiye’s technological independence and drawing the road map of the digital economy, was held at the MÜSİAD Head Office.
At the meeting, where sector stakeholders and representatives of the business world came together, the barriers encountered in the digitalization process and how this transformation should be supported with national policies were evaluated in the nature of a comprehensive report.
The Sector’s Current Problems and the Search for Solutions
In the sessions held under the hosting of the MÜSİAD Head Office, the fundamental problems obstructing the sustainable growth of the sector were put on the table. An assessment of the current situation was made in particular on the loss of qualified labour (brain drain), high hardware costs and the scaling of domestic software. Participants emphasized that access to finance must be facilitated in order to protect the domestic ecosystem in global competition.
Future Perspective: Full Independence in the Digital Economy
At the workshop, it was determined that digital technologies are not merely a tool but stand at the centre of national security and economic growth. In the future projections, emphasis was placed on a domestic imprint in critical areas ranging from cyber security to cloud computing and from blockchain to data mining. The strategic importance of public and private sector cooperation was underlined so that Türkiye may become a technology-exporting centre.
