The MÜSİAD Digital Transformation Sector Board held its introductory and consultation meeting with digital transformation sector members from across Türkiye. The meeting was held at the MÜSİAD Head Office under the chairmanship of Board Chairman Taha ÇİFTCİ. The event was attended by 60 members from different provinces, including Sector Boards and Fair-Forum Commission Chairman Erkan GÜL and the chairmen of the Digital Transformation Sector Board from previous terms. At the beginning of the meeting, ÇİFTCİ thanked the participants and provided information about sectoral developments and future targets.
At the meeting, emphasis was placed on the importance of the events to be organized in order to raise awareness in the field of digital transformation and to strengthen sectoral cooperation. ÇİFTCİ shared details of the work planned for the sector board's 2023-2024 term and stated that exchanging information about the opportunities and challenges brought by digital transformation is critical. Through the Digital Transformation Sector Board's promotional film, the participants received information about the sector board's purpose, targets and the activities it has carried out.
In addition, information was given on the establishment and development of digital transformation at the MÜSİAD Ankara Branch. The work in Ankara will be supported by the integration of digital technologies into business processes and by training programmes in this field. It was announced that a Digital Transformation Sector Board would also be established at the MÜSİAD Düzce Branch. This new body aims to contribute to the digital transformation processes of the businesses in the region and to strengthen the local economy.
At the end of the meeting, Taha ÇİFTCİ emphasized that the summit and other events to be held in the field of digital transformation would bring great benefits to sector members. He drew attention to the need to increase the sharing of experience and information among members. In this context, it was stated that the MÜSİAD Digital Transformation Sector Board should organize more programmes.
The meeting was productive in terms of participants following current developments in the sector, establishing cooperation and sharing their experiences. The MÜSİAD Digital Transformation Sector Board will continue its work to hold more events in the field of digital transformation and believes that such gatherings will enrich members' sectoral experience and increase business opportunities.
Finally, the announcement was made of the "Cyber Power Türkiye '24” Summit to be held at the MÜSİAD Head Office on Wednesday, 6 November 2024. The summit will be an important event at which current developments in the fields of cyber security and artificial intelligence will be addressed, expert speakers will take part and sector representatives will come together. Members are expected to attend this summit.
