The MÜSİAD Region 1 Textile Summit, at which members of the Textile, Leather and Ready-Made Clothing Sector came together and views on business development were gathered, was held today at the Grand Ankara Hotel.

Former Minister of State Kürşat Tüzmen, MÜSİAD Textile, Leather and Ready-Made Clothing Sector Board Chairman Fatih Canpolat, PROGROUP Chairman of the Board Dr. Salim Çam, PTTAvm Trade and E-Commerce Company Founder and CEO Hakan Çevikoğlu, and MÜSİAD Ankara Branch Founding President Hüdayi Çakır also attended the summit.

Emphasizing that the MÜSİAD Head Office Management had declared 2022 the "year of investment" and divided Türkiye into 5 regions, MÜSİAD Chairman Canpolat said, "We set out with the motto '5 regions, 5 investments'. For this reason we plan to bring our first project to life in Ankara: our Textile Production Factory, built to EU standards with R&D work, which will provide employment for 5,000 people and which values human resources. While each city of our country builds its own brand in various fields such as yarn, fabric and production in particular, our goal is to make İstanbul and Ankara 2 main brands in fashion and textiles."
