The Albania Branch of the Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association (MÜSİAD) was opened with a ceremony held in the capital, Tirana.

The ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of Trade of the Republic of Türkiye Mahmut Gürcan, Türkiye's Ambassador to Tirana Tayyar Kağan Atay, MÜSİAD Vice President Davut Altunbaş, MÜSİAD Albania President Muhammet İşler, representatives of the Turkish institutions serving in the country, as well as representatives of Albanian institutions and of business world associations from many countries.

In his speech, Deputy Minister Gürcan said that the Turkish economy is continuing to grow.
Expressing that trade between Türkiye and Albania is growing and developing, Gürcan used the following words: "Our commercial cooperation with the friendly and brotherly country Albania is developing and deepening further with each passing day. With a win-win understanding in our relations with Albania, we attach importance both to investing in Albania and to Albanian businessmen investing in Türkiye."

Ambassador Atay, for his part, stated that the branch that has been opened will play a very valuable role in raising the economic and commercial relations between the two countries to a level worthy of the existing excellent political relations, and said: "The fact that our esteemed Albanian brothers have also shown interest in the MÜSİAD Albania branch, and that we have won their favour, is in my opinion a very fine development that should be emphasized and that makes us happy."

Touching on MÜSİAD's activities in his speech, MÜSİAD Vice President Altunbaş said: "We are a businessmen's organization on which the sun never sets, hosting more than 14 thousand members within its structure, keeping 60 thousand companies in the system, and operating across the world with 99 branch representations abroad and 84 at home, 183 in total. That is to say, we do not act in line with economic interests in our lives; I would like to state that spiritual values are also important. The vision and organizational structure that MÜSİAD has carried abroad will continue on its way by growing even further."

MÜSİAD Albania President İşler, for his part, thanked the guests who came to the ceremony from Türkiye and various countries.

Emphasizing that they will work with all their strength to increase the economic and commercial power of the MÜSİAD Albania branch, İşler said: "I describe today as a historic day for us, for Türkiye and Albania, on behalf of the business world, and this is a historic day; in the future we will crown this history with our membership numbers and our work in commercial fields, carrying it much further ahead."

Following the speeches, with the prayer that was offered, the ribbon was cut and MÜSİAD 's branch in Tirana, the capital of Albania, was opened for service.

On the other hand, under the auspices of MÜSİAD 's Albania Branch, a meeting in B2B format was held with the participation of representatives of the business world from Türkiye, Albania and other countries.
