The President of the Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association (MÜSİAD), Abdurrahman Kaan, and the Members of the Board of Directors carried out the opening of the new service building of the MÜSİAD Ordu Branch.
Ordu Governor Seddar Yavuz, Ordu Metropolitan Mayor Dr. Mehmet Hilmi Güler, Ordu University Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Akdoğan, MÜSİAD President Abdurrahman Kaan, Ordu Branch President Süleyman Dinçsoy and MÜSİAD members attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony organized for the opening.
Before the opening, President Kaan, who paid a courtesy visit to Ordu Governor Seddar Yavuz, Ordu Metropolitan Mayor Dr. Mehmet Hilmi Güler, Ordu Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Servet Şahin, Altınordu Mayor Aşkın Tören and to our member Altaş Group of Companies, gave information about the projects, work and future targets of the MÜSİAD Ordu Branch. Following the visits, President Kaan came to the ceremony area where the opening would take place.
Speaking at the ceremony, President Kaan expressed the sorrow he felt in the face of disasters such as the earthquake and the avalanche that occurred in our country. Stating that as MÜSİAD they are ready to make every kind of sacrifice to heal the wounds and to support our citizens in need of help, Kaan said that we would get through these difficult days together as well.
MÜSİAD Has Now Become an Accreditation Institution
Noting that as MÜSİAD they have entered a new process in the new period, which they call the “Renewal Process”, Kaan emphasized that the new system they have established has begun to be adopted by the other institutions of our state as well. Kaan said: "There are now institutions trying to adapt this system, which has entered the records as the MÜSİAD model, to their own structures. We have entered into a much more comprehensive integration with state institutions. The number of institutions and organizations that act together with us, and that wish to do so, in terms of both planning and execution is increasing day by day. We are proud to see the projects we propose being implemented one by one at the level of the ministries. It makes us happy that some of the projects we have started to run are being presented as solutions that accelerate the development of industry in Türkiye and the industrialization processes of SMEs, the driving force of Anatolian capital. Moreover, the fact that our industrial restructuring movement with medium-scale industrial zones has expanded and has turned MÜSİAD into a standard-setting and accreditation institution in this field adds enthusiasm to our enthusiasm and strength to our strength."
Touching on the fact that they have implemented many projects for the development of our country, Kaan pointed out that with the vision put forward by MÜSİAD, 21 topics such as highland tourism, Gastro tourism, Turkish culinary arts and health tourism have now been incorporated into national plans.
In the Future It Will Be Cities, Not States, That Compete
Stating that they designed medium-scale enterprise projects with the aim of supporting the industrialization movement, Kaan said: “We have become the institution that sets the standards of these campuses. One of the eight regions we have determined nationwide is located on the northern Anatolia line, and Ordu is one of the provinces within this region. Our project to develop the trade transport lines whose importance is increasing day by day in the world, and to establish logistics bases suitable for our provinces such as Ordu, which are both close to maritime logistics and have a land hinterland, is about to be implemented. Since the first day I came to the administration I have insistently mentioned the concepts of city economies and producing brand cities. Our city matching project is about to be completed. In the future it will be cities, not states, that compete. To this end, we ensured that this issue was addressed particularly within the framework of the 11th Development Plan. Indeed, praise be to God, the concept of smart cities and city brands was registered as a national movement by a Presidential circular.”
MÜSİAD Ordu Branch President Süleyman Dinçsoy, for his part, expressed the happiness they felt at opening a branch worthy of Ordu in one of Türkiye's largest cities such as Ordu. Saying that with the new branch building they would show even greater effort for the Turkish economy in the coming periods, Dinçsoy conveyed his thanks to President Abdurrahman Kaan, who carried out the opening of the branch.
