In November 2022, the seasonally and calendar adjusted SAMEKS Composite Index, despite decreasing by 0.5 points compared with the previous month, maintained its course above the reference value at 53.1 points.

In this period, the Industry Sector SAMEKS Index, which recorded an increase of 1.1 points compared with the previous month to reach 59.1, stood above the reference value for the 16th consecutive month and maintained its positive picture. In the same period, the Services Sector SAMEKS Index, despite losing 1.0 points of momentum compared with the previous month, indicated with its level of 50.8 points that growth in the sector continues.

While the loss of pace in the growth rate of input purchases compared with the previous month was influential in the decline observed in the services sector, the determining factor in the increase recorded in the industry sector was the rise in production triggered by the buoyant outlook for new orders.

The fact that the employment sub-index stood above the reference value in both sectors gave positive signals that the employment indicators, whose growth rate declined in the 3rd quarter of the year, have turned positive again.

As a result of these developments, the seasonally and calendar adjusted SAMEKS Composite Index, which stood at 53.1 despite decreasing by 0.5 points compared with the previous month, maintained its positive outlook for the fourth quarter of the year and indicated that the buoyancy in economic activity continued in November as well.
