MÜSİAD Services Sector Board Chairman Ali Tutuk and the accompanying delegation organized a business trip to Azerbaijan on 8-9 April. Within the scope of the program, contacts were held with the Confederation of Azerbaijani Entrepreneurs (ASK), the Azerbaijan Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA), the MÜSİAD Azerbaijan Branch and the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Baku.
On the first day of the program, a meeting was held with Ziya Hacılı, Secretary General of the Confederation of Azerbaijani Entrepreneurs (ASK), the public union of employers in the Republic of Azerbaijan which coordinates the activities of legal and natural persons engaged in entrepreneurial activity on a voluntary basis and protects their legal and economic interests, and with the accompanying delegation. At the meeting, consultations were held on the current commercial situation between the two countries, on opportunities and on potential cooperation efforts. The productive meeting ended with the presentation of gifts.
In the continuation of the program, a meeting was held with the members of the Board of Directors of the MÜSİAD Azerbaijan Branch. At the meeting, the requests between the MÜSİAD Head Office and the MÜSİAD Azerbaijan Branch were evaluated. In addition, the commercial situation between the two countries was discussed and cooperation efforts were planned. Afterwards, B2B meetings were held with MÜSİAD Azerbaijan members. Following the meetings, gifts were presented.
On the second day of the program, a meeting was held with Samir Hümbətov, Deputy Chairman of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (KOBİA), an organization with public legal personality affiliated to the Ministry of Economy that supports the development of small and medium-sized enterprises in the country, offers a range of services to SMEs and coordinates and regulates the services of public institutions in this field, and with the accompanying delegation. At the meeting, topics such as cooperation for the support of SMEs and Trade and Investment Opportunities were discussed and concrete steps for cooperation were planned.
In the continuation of the program, the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Baku, Prof. Dr. Birol Akgün, was visited at his office. During the visit, information was given about the structure of the MÜSİAD Sector Boards and the Fair and Forum Commission and about the activities of the Services Sector Board. The commercial situation between the two countries was evaluated with Mr. Ambassador. Consultations were held on the leading sectors in Azerbaijan, on the situation of the services sector in the country and on potential cooperation efforts. At the end of the meeting, a gift was presented to Mr. Ambassador Akgün.
