The MÜSİAD Tourism Sector Board held an experience-sharing program on "A Look at Tourism and Career Opportunities" at Van Yüzüncü Yıl University. Within the scope of the program, important assessments were made on the dynamics of the tourism sector, career opportunities and professional development.

The program began with the opening speech of Tourism Sector Board Chairman Murat Kundak. Recounting his career journey, Murat Kundak drew attention to the value of the tourism profession. Emphasizing that every province should have its own distinctive approach in tourism, Kundak cited as an example the difference Isparta has created with lavender tourism and stated that Van should also properly make use of the historical, cultural and natural beauties it possesses. Addressing the students, he said, "You are all very valuable, do not belittle the work you do. To be successful in tourism you must create a difference and you must explain well why you should be preferred."

Tourism Sector Board Deputy Chairman Mecit Kılınçarslan, for his part, stated that tourism is a hands-on profession and expressed that a solution-oriented approach should be adopted instead of complaining. Saying, "Success comes from doing the right job in the right way. Learn your culture, keep away from prejudices," he offered important advice to the students.

Tourism Sector Board Member Taner Gündoğan, who took the floor at the program, drew attention to the importance of foreign languages, saying, "Tourism students must definitely know English and must make an effort to improve themselves." Emphasizing that instead of complaining, ways of solution should be sought in order to remedy shortcomings, he gave the message, "Your success is the success of all of us."

In the final section of the program, a question-and-answer event was held with the students. The students' questions about the tourism sector were answered and views were exchanged. The event came to an end with a group photograph.
