The Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association (MÜSİAD) Traditional Iftar Program was held with the participation of Minister of Trade Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat and more than 1,000 MÜSİAD members.
The Traditional MÜSİAD Iftar Program, held at the MÜSİAD Head Office, took place with the participation of Minister of Trade Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat, MÜSİAD President Mahmut Asmalı, more than 1,000 MÜSİAD Members and MÜSİAD Branch Presidents. At the program, which drew intense interest, MÜSİAD President Mahmut Asmalı and Minister of Trade Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat delivered speeches.
“We will continue to work together”
Speaking at the program, Minister of Trade Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat talked about the Ministry's targets. In his speech, Minister Bolat said:
“As the Ministry of Trade, in line with our vision of making the Century of Türkiye the Century of Trade, and in the light of our economic policies that place production, investment, employment and exports at the centre, we are maintaining without interruption our support for our business world to produce and to export what it produces to foreign markets.”
Stating that they attach great importance to strengthening our country's global trade network and to branding through the plans and programs implemented, above all the Distant Countries Strategy, Bolat emphasized that they will continue to work hand in hand with all segments of the business world, foremost the MÜSİAD family.
“A Türkiye Free of Terrorism means a strong economy”
In his speech, MÜSİAD President Mahmut Asmalı emphasized that Türkiye, as a country that stands on its own feet despite many ordeals and disasters, that has attained political and economic stability and that is constantly growing, continues to be a safe haven in its region; Asmalı stated that the steps taken over the last 21 years have yielded results and that it has made huge moves from the defence industry to energy and from health to tourism.
Also speaking about the issues on the agenda in recent days, Asmalı said that they give full support to the goal of a Türkiye Free of Terrorism.
In his speech, Asmalı touched upon the following words:
“As MÜSİAD, embracing our country's historic mission and national unity, we strongly support the steps taken in line with the goal of a "Türkiye Free of Terrorism". We believe that this process, launched under the leadership of our President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, is a historic opportunity for the peace of our nation and the survival of our state. Ending the humanitarian and economic costs that have continued for forty years will open the doors of a new era before our country. A Türkiye cleansed of terrorism is of vital importance not only for our security but also for our economic and social development. As MÜSİAD, we invite the entire business world and all civil society organizations to act in unity and solidarity in this historic process. In this process, as One and Together, we must all together foil every game to be played against the prosperity of our country.”
