Hakan Kalender, Acting President of the Agriculture and Rural Development Support Institution (TKDK), visited Abdurrahman Kaan, President of the Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association (MÜSİAD)
A cooperation agreement was signed between the ministry and MÜSİAD on 12 September 2019 with the participation of Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Bekir Pakdemirli. Within this scope, TKDK Acting President Hakan Kalender and the delegation accompanying him paid a visit to MÜSİAD President Abdurrahman Kaan.
During the meeting, the joint work to be carried out regarding the “IPARD Programme Cooperation Protocol” signed between the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and MÜSİAD was discussed.
At the visit, views were also exchanged on the joint work to be carried out to reach MÜSİAD member investors as a result of the protocol and to help them move into investment in rural areas, and on what kind of investments would be possible with the rural development grants provided through IPARD.
While information was given on the content of the training to be provided to MÜSİAD members within the scope of IPARD, the question of how MÜSİAD members would be informed when the calls for applications are published was brought to the agenda.
Following the bilateral meeting, TKDK Acting President Kalender also came together with the MÜSİAD Rural Development Committee and shared his assessments regarding TKDK's work.
At the meeting between the delegations, TKDK and MÜSİAD were both present.
