At the Anatolian Economic Diplomacy meeting organized by MÜSİAD in Denizli, Turkish and Indian investors discussed new cooperation opportunities.
The Anatolian Economic Diplomacy Programme, organized under the coordination of the Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association (MÜSİAD) Diplomatic Relations Commission and hosted by MÜSİAD Denizli, brought together Turkish and Indian investors.
India's Ambassador to Ankara Virander Paul, who attended the event held in a conference hall in the Pamukkale district, expressed that he had come to Denizli for the first time and that during his visit to Metropolitan Mayor Osman Zolan he had learned about the economic size of the city.
Pointing out the importance of the meeting held in order to develop the relations of Denizli companies with India, Paul stated that the two countries have supported each other in difficult times.
Expressing that he believes these meetings held within the scope of the goal of attracting foreign investors to Türkiye will yield results, Paul said, "I would like to give the assurance that your efforts will not go to waste. The relations between India and Türkiye go back centuries. We already experience the feeling of civilization, development and friendship between these two countries. At present we are focusing on economic cooperation between the two countries. Such work will carry the trade volume much higher."
MÜSİAD Diplomatic Relations Commission Chairman Osman Nuri Önügören, for his part, recounted that over the past 2 years they had hosted ambassadors in cities all across the country and evaluated trade opportunities.
Noting that they are also focused on strengthening commercial ties with India, Önügören said, "Today we are putting our first programme into practice. Türkiye and India, as two friendly countries, make an important contribution to regional and global trade both with the active commercial potential along the Silk Road route and with their historical and cultural ties. God willing, with the contacts we will make today as well, we will reshape strong tomorrows."
MÜSİAD Denizli Branch President Engin Boyacı, for his part, expressed his satisfaction at Indian Ambassador Paul's visit to Denizli and emphasized that the Denizli business world is ready for every kind of cooperation to develop trade between the two countries.

Following the meeting attended by Denizli Exporters' Association President Hüseyin Memişoğlu, Denizli Chamber of Commerce President Uğur Erdoğan, Denizli Chamber of Industry President Selim Kasapoğlu, South Aegean Development Agency (GEKA) Secretary General Özgür Akdoğan and business people, Ambassador Virander Paul and Indian Consul General Sudhi Choudhary, together with the accompanying Indian business delegation, visited marble and textile companies.
The delegation, which carried out sectoral inspections at the companies Akgün Electrical Engineering, Sirmersan Marble and Altınbaşak Textile, received information about the work of the Denizli Organized Industrial Zone.
