The Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association (MÜSİAD) organized a workshop with the aim of increasing the use of domestic and national resources in Türkiye's digital transformation process. The workshop, a critical workshop organized by the MÜSİAD Digital Transformation Sector Board at the MÜSİAD Head Office, took place with the participation of Türkiye's leading universities, its largest software companies and the Information Technologies Directors of various state institutions as well as Technopark General Managers.

The main agenda of the workshop was to accelerate Türkiye's nationalization process in the digital field, to spread the use of domestic and national software and to determine the country's future digital road map. Participants discussed ways of strengthening Türkiye's independence in the field of cyber security and of supporting the domestic software sector.

In his opening speech, MÜSİAD Digital Transformation Sector Board Chairman Taha Çiftci made the following remarks: "This workshop is an important turning point in Türkiye's digital transformation journey. By encouraging the use of domestic and national software, we aim for our country to reach a stronger position in the fields of cyber security and digital independence." he said.

At the workshop, views were also exchanged on cooperation and R&D projects between universities and software companies. This cooperation will contribute to the development of innovative solutions that will enable Türkiye to take a more effective role in global competition in the field of cyber security.

At the end of the event, concrete steps and strategic plans for Türkiye's digital transformation were determined. By ensuring the implementation and follow-up of these plans, MÜSİAD is assuming the mission of leading the strengthening of the domestic and national software ecosystem.

This initiative of MÜSİAD is seen as an important step towards increasing Türkiye's independence in the digital field and making the domestic software sector competitive on a global scale.
