In the Oltu district of Erzurum, Türkiye's first cağ kebabı factory was opened with a ceremony.
The opening programme of the Oltu Cağ Kebabı Factory, located in the Organized Industrial Zone, established through the initiatives of the members of the Erzurum Branch of the Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association (MÜSİAD) and costing approximately 50 million liras, began with a recitation of the Holy Qur'an.
Speaking at the opening programme, President of MÜSİAD Mahmut Asmalı wished that the factory would bring blessings to Oltu, to Erzurum and to the country.
Congratulating MÜSİAD Branch President Fuat Demir and his partners, Asmalı said: "In most of my speeches, I say 'when investing, take your friends as partners instead of banks'. You will neither have a headache nor will your earnings be less blessed. Especially in these days when, unfortunately, interest rates have risen very high, it carries very great meaning that our business people bring their capital together and build such a fine facility."
Emphasizing that such enterprises need to multiply for the city to reach the desired point in terms of exports, President Asmalı noted the following:
"I hope that the products to be produced here will be exported first of all to our country and then abroad, primarily to the Gulf countries. As MÜSİAD, we provide very great contribution and support to these partnerships. I extend my gratitude to all those who have contributed to Türkiye's first and only cağ kebabı facility factory."
MÜSİAD Branch President Demir, for his part, said that they are experiencing the happiness of 20 partners coming together and opening the Oltu Cağ Kebabı Factory, one of the city's brand values.
Recalling that they laid the foundation of the factory in 2020, Demir used the following words: "Praise be to God, today we are holding its opening with 20 brave men. Perhaps it is easy to invest in Kocaeli or in Thrace. A 50 million investment beside a stream in the Oltu district is not every brave man's business. I thank all the partners. For our business people who wish to invest, plots in the Oltu OIZ are free of charge. We stand by investors."
After the speeches, the protocol members and the participants cut the ribbon and performed the opening of the factory.
At the programme, following the performance of the Metropolitan Municipality folk dance team, cağ kebabı and kadayıf dolması were served to the visitors.
