The MÜSİAD Construction and Building Materials Sector Board visited the Deniz Feneri Association in order to examine on site its work in the field of social responsibility and the humanitarian aid activities carried out by civil society organizations.
Within the scope of the visit, Deniz Feneri Association President Att. Mehmet Cengiz and the association’s management gave a comprehensive presentation on the association’s founding process, its aid model, the functioning of its donation network and the projects carried out to date. The meeting addressed the social support programs implemented for different segments of society, the emergency aid work carried out during disaster periods and sustainable solidarity models.
Members of the MÜSİAD Construction and Building Materials Sector Board drew attention to the role of civil society organizations in developing social responsibility awareness and evaluated the positive impact created across the country by the activities carried out by the association.
The parties emphasized the importance of strengthening communication between the business world and civil society, and exchanged ideas on joint project areas that could be developed in the future.
After the meeting, the delegation visited the association’s logistics centre and received information on the processes of collecting, classifying and storing donations and delivering them to those in need. Sector Board members stated that the working order and the volunteer-based organizational structure constitute an exemplary model.
