Minister of Trade and Industry of the Arab Republic of Egypt Ahmed Samir Saleh, Egyptian Ambassador Amr Soliman Abdelmeguid Elhamamy and the accompanying Egyptian Delegation were hosted at the MÜSİAD Head Office. At the meeting held under the chairmanship of MÜSİAD Vice President Davut Altunbaş, talks aimed at developing commercial cooperation were held.

The meeting, organized in order to develop trade relations between Türkiye and Egypt, to evaluate investment opportunities and to increase cooperation between the two countries, was attended by Minister of Trade and Industry of the Arab Republic of Egypt Ahmed Samir Saleh, Egyptian Ambassador Amr Soliman Abdelmeguid Elhamamy, MÜSİAD Vice President Davut Altunbaş, MÜSİAD Diplomatic Relations Commission Chairman Osman Nuri Önügören, MÜSİAD INVEST President Serhat Kısakürek and MÜSİAD Energy and Environment Sector Board Chairman İsmail Hakkı Karaca.

While increasing the commercial volume between Türkiye and Egypt led the issues discussed, investment opportunities, cooperation in the economic field and the issues concerning the highway between Cairo and Cape Town were also discussed.

The meeting, in which labour and energy costs were also addressed, took place in a positive atmosphere with a view to strengthening trade and investment relations between Egypt and Türkiye. Both parties expressed their determination to increase cooperation. Egyptian Minister of Trade and Industry Ahmed Samir Saleh and MÜSİAD Vice President Davut Altunbaş stated that the necessary steps would be taken for relations between the two countries to develop further.
