The 45th General Administrative Board (GİK), organized with the broad participation of Young MÜSİAD’s branches throughout Türkiye, was held between 14-16 January under the hosting of the Samsun branch. Nearly 300 people from 45 branches attended the organization, which stood out as the first general administrative board after the pandemic.
The program, which began on 14 January with the arrival in Samsun of Young MÜSİAD President Yunus Furkan Akbal and the accompanying delegation, continued with visits to the Samsun provincial protocol. The delegation, which visited Samsun Governor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zülkif Dağlı, conveyed Young MÜSİAD’s work. Samsun Metropolitan Mayor Mustafa Demir, meanwhile, was given information within the scope of the projects Young MÜSİAD has undertaken in Samsun and throughout Türkiye. The gala dinner of the 45th General Administrative Board (GİK) meeting, meanwhile, took place with intense participation at the Ömer Halisdemir Congress and Multipurpose Hall. The presentation reflecting the work of the Young MÜSİAD Samsun Branch was followed by the opening speech of Young MÜSİAD Samsun Branch President Ahmet Korkmaz. Underlining that in every piece of work they do they work in unity as a team, Korkmaz stated that Young MÜSİAD Samsun members have made great contributions to the Samsun economy and will continue to do so in the future.
"We will support the national technology initiative"
Following the greeting speeches of MÜSİAD Samsun Branch President Hasan Tahsin Şengül, Young MÜSİAD President Furkan Akbal, who underlined that our country’s most important natural resource is young people, gave the following message:
"We will support the National Technology Initiative led by our state. We will all together be the followers of these innovations and will take on important responsibilities. In line with Young MÜSİAD’s 2022 goals, we will focus in particular on the headings of digital competence, awareness, production, personal and corporate development, and the raising of young people attached to their values, and we will undertake pioneering work. Homelands must protect their own values. As Young MÜSİAD, we will carry out work to create value-added working environments for talented young people."
Samsun Ondokuz Mayıs University Rector Prof. Dr. Yavuz Ünal spoke about the importance of a youth conscious of its values and the role Young MÜSİAD assumes at this point; Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Demir, meanwhile, underlined that MÜSİAD has played a very important role in the Turkish economy since the day it was founded, and that they will support to the end the projects young business people will carry out in Samsun.

On 15 January, the Presidents, Organization, Sector Boards, Export Development and Universities Commission Meetings were held at the TÜYAP Congress Centre. AK Party Deputy Chairwoman and Samsun Deputy Çiğdem Karaaslan visited the program participants and the mini fair area set up in the entrance area. Expressing that young business people in particular are of great importance in Türkiye’s development, Karaaslan conveyed to President Furkan Akbal and the participants the pleasure she felt at the program being held in Samsun, along with her thanks.
Management and Innovation in a Transforming World were addressed in the GİK program
On the other hand, an experience-sharing meeting on Management and Innovation in a Transforming World was also held within the scope of the Young MÜSİAD 45th GİK program. At the meeting, in which MÜSİAD Private Secretary Selçuk Şenel took part as a speaker, the topics of management and innovation in the changing world after the pandemic were addressed. Stating that corporate structures must constantly renew themselves and keep pace with national and international transformations, Şenel assessed: "Alongside corporate structures, managers must also renew themselves in line with changing trends. Looking at it from this angle, for a sustainable and efficient system the development of the designated manager, or of the person taking the initiative in this field, is important. A good manager must follow technology and the world, strengthen human relations, know the work he does very well in theory and in practice, and constantly develop himself".
The top 3 most successful branches; Adana, Sakarya and Konya
Following the meetings, a training program on ‘Family and Company Tips for Young Masters’ took place with the participation of Dr. Şaban Kızıldağ. Afterwards, the results of Young MÜSİAD’s 2021 Branch Performance Evaluation were announced. According to the evaluations made, throughout Türkiye in 2021 the Adana branch was chosen as the most successful first branch, while the Sakarya Branch came second and the Konya Branch third. At the closing of the program, Thank-You plaques were presented by Young MÜSİAD President Furkan Akbal to the branch presidents who were placed. The 45th General Administrative Board program came to an end on 16 January with a city tour of Samsun.
