At the General Assembly, held with the participation of Minister of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Türkiye Mehmet Fatih Kacır, Young MÜSİAD's 10th President Cahit Ertemel, Former President Muhammed Huzeyfe Güllüoğlu and Young MÜSİAD President Mağsum Usta delivered their speeches in turn.
Young MÜSİAD's 10th President Cahit Ertemel, for his part, stated that from the first day they took office their priority had always been to establish a strong bond with the branches and members that are the backbone of the organization, and said that they had set out with this understanding.
Noting that the Young MÜSİAD family is full of gems, Ertemel said: "We became close companions with our more than 15,000 members without any intermediaries. We organized regional organizational training programmes with our 40 different branches."
Conveying that they held the most crowded and largest Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Programme in Young MÜSİAD's history in Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and in London, the capital of the United Kingdom, Ertemel noted that an international booklet had been written as a result of consultations with the members of the international organization.
Young MÜSİAD's 11th President Muhammed Huzeyfe Güllüoğlu, for his part, emphasized that the association is more than a school and said: "With what we have learned here and the experience we have gained, we have been able to become far more competent and effective in our business and social lives. Young MÜSİAD is courage; it is setting the targets of programmes and projects without recognizing any limits in one's dreams, and then bringing the relevant process to a conclusion fearlessly and hand in hand, without giving up, wherever and however it may be."
The motto of the new term: Go Beyond Your Limits
Young MÜSİAD's new President Mağsum Usta, for his part, expressed that in this term they will be a youth that prioritizes doing value-added business, that carries the business skills and experience formed in Türkiye onto the international arena, and that stands out with its business ethics and diligence.
Explaining that they had set the motto of this term as "go beyond your limits", Usta expressed that they would go beyond all limits in trade, in entrepreneurship and in innovation.
We always support young entrepreneurs
MÜSİAD President Mahmut Asmalı expressed that Young MÜSİAD is not merely a youth structure but the embodiment of a mission and a dream, and made the following assessment: "We are proud, because Young MÜSİAD is our deep-rooted infrastructure that carries the MÜSİAD spirit, values and vision into the future."
Saying that every young person internalizes the MÜSİAD culture right at the beginning of the road and learns that trade must be conducted not only with profit but also with morality, Asmalı noted that in this respect Young MÜSİAD is virtually a school.
Stating that the world is going through a constant process of transformation, Asmalı said: "Concepts such as technology, digitalization, artificial intelligence, sustainability and green transformation are now at the very centre not only of daily life but also of the business world. In this period, when global competition is becoming sharper by the day, there is a greater need than ever for young entrepreneurs who can adapt quickly, think strategically and make no concessions on ethical values."
Emphasizing that Young MÜSİAD is a centre where young people are trained who not only generate business ideas but can also shape these ideas according to the economic and social needs of the future, Asmalı noted the following:
"Here, a youth is being raised that stands at the centre of innovation, that reflects the vision of sustainability in its ways of doing business, and that gains competence in many fields from artificial intelligence to digital technologies. Our Young MÜSİAD brothers and sisters interact with different cultures on a global scale and take the pulse of trade, production and entrepreneurship not only in Türkiye but in all four corners of the world. I believe that our Young MÜSİAD fills a very important gap. By keeping the entrepreneurial spirit alive, it prepares our young people for the future."
Speaking at Young MÜSİAD's 16th Ordinary General Assembly, Kacır expressed his belief that the successful journey of the Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association (MÜSİAD) and of Young MÜSİAD will continue in the same direction for many more years.
Recalling that 22 years ago, when the foundations of these days, of the Century of Türkiye, began to be laid, the country's workforce and production were limited, its potential suppressed and it had withdrawn into its shell in every field, Kacır said: "Wrong policies, unfortunate decisions and political and economic instability had virtually become Türkiye's fate. However, with the march we launched under the leadership of our esteemed President, we gave a new direction to our country's history and fortune."
Pointing out that MÜSİAD is among the closest witnesses of how far the country has come in the last 22 years, Kacır used the following words: "On this journey, on which we have carried our country to the goal of a bigger, stronger and more prosperous Türkiye, we have always drawn strength from one another. Together with all our devotees who believe in our blessed cause and share our burden, without taking even a single step back, we have fitted a century's worth of achievements into 22 years."
Following his speech, a gift was presented to Minister Kacır and a family photograph was taken.
After the ceremony, Young MÜSİAD's new board of directors was also announced.
